The Simplex 4098-9733 TrueAlarm heat sensor head is an intelligent, addressable thermal detection unit engineered for commercial, industrial, and institutional fire safety applications. Utilizing a low-mass electronic thermistor assembly, the device continuously measures local temperature levels and transmits real-time digital analog data over Simplex IDNet or MAPNET II two-wire addressable loops. System control panels analyze these readings to execute programmable fixed-temperature alarms (135°F / 57.2°C or 155°F / 68°C) and optional rate-of-rise thresholds (15°F/min or 20°F/min). Purpose-built for dusty, humid, or high-velocity air areas where optical smoke detectors would cause false alarms—such as commercial kitchens, mechanical rooms, boiler rooms, and garages—it offers EMI/RFI shielding, sealed rear airflow construction, and full UL, FM, CSFM, and MEA approvals.
