Honeywell 6500R Conventional Optical Smoke Beam Detector

The Honeywell 6500R (manufactured under Honeywell / System Sensor) is an advanced single-ended reflective optical beam smoke detector designed to provide wide-area fire protection in high-ceiling, open-plan spaces such as warehouses, atrium structures, sports arenas, shopping centers, and industrial facilities. Operating on the light obscuration principle, the unit combines an infrared transmitter and receiver within a single compact housing that projects a beam across the protected area to a passive retro-reflector. The detector features a built-in 2-digit digital display for fast optical alignment, automatic sensitivity stabilization algorithms to compensate for dust accumulation, six field-selectable sensitivity settings, and onboard fire/fault Form A and Form B output relays. Powered by 15–32 VDC loop/auxiliary power, it integrates seamlessly into conventional fire alarm systems or addressable loops via monitor modules.
