Description

The Fireclass 601PH is a Conventional High Performance Optical Smoke Detector designed for ceiling mounting as part of the Series 600 range. This advanced unit uses a combination of optical and heat technology to detect the full spectrum of fire products, from slow, smoldering smoke to clear-burning flames and hot aerosols—a capability traditionally limited to ion-chamber detectors. Under normal conditions, it acts as a standard optical sensor; however, upon detecting a rapid rise in temperature, its sensitivity dramatically increases, confirming and transmitting a fire alarm.
