Fireclass 601PH Conventional High Performance Optical Smoke Detector

The Fireclass 601PH is a conventional high-performance optical smoke detector engineered for reliable early fire detection in commercial, institutional, and industrial applications. Combining an asymmetrical optical light-scattering chamber with a heat-sensing thermistor element, the 601PH detects the full spectrum of fire threats—from slow-smoldering smoke to fast, open-flaming fires. Under normal ambient conditions, the detector functions as a standard optical sensor; however, when a rapid rise in temperature is detected, the unit automatically boosts its optical sensitivity to confirm a fire condition without generating unwanted alarms. Designed with an asymmetrical “mousehole” optical chamber cover that draws in slow-moving smoke while resisting dust and insect ingress, the 601PH mounts seamlessly onto standard 5-inch bases (such as 5B and 5BD) and is fully compliant with EN54 standards.
