The Teletek SensoIRIS M140 IS is an intelligent addressable combined optical smoke and thermal heat detector equipped with a built-in short-circuit isolator, engineered by Teletek Electronics for commercial, industrial, and institutional fire safety applications. By integrating a photoelectric light-scattering chamber with a precision thermal thermistor sensor within a low-profile housing, the device evaluates both smoke concentration and temperature changes. This multi-criteria sensing design enables immediate verification of fast-flaming fires and smoldering smoke while delivering high immunity to false alarms. Equipped with an onboard bidirectional line isolator, the detector safeguards loop integrity by isolating cable short-circuits without disrupting adjacent devices. Operating on Teletek’s proprietary TTE communication protocol over a 15V to 30V DC loop, it features panel-selectable sensitivity settings (Combined, Optical-Only, or Thermal-Only modes), handheld tool soft-addressing (1–250), automatic chamber drift compensation, twin 360-degree status LEDs, and full LPCB EN 54 certification.
