Tyco 711P Marine Conventional Optical Smoke Detector

The Tyco 711P (516.900.101) is a microprocessor-based conventional optical smoke detector designed for 2-wire zone-monitored fire alarm systems. Operating on the light-scattering principle with an internal infrared sensing chamber, the detector samples ambient air every 5 seconds to detect visible smoke particles from slow-burning fires. It features built-in threshold and drift compensation algorithms that automatically adjust sensitivity to account for dust accumulation over time. Fully approved to EN 54-7, Marine Equipment Directive (MED), and major classification society (IACS) standards, the 711P serves as a drop-in, backward-compatible replacement for the legacy Tyco 600 Series (601P-M). It includes an internal insect mesh, IP44 ingress protection when fitted with a deck head mount, and compatibility with standard 4B, 4B-D, 5B, and 5B-D detector bases
