The Tyco FireClass 703H (Part No. 516.900.005) is an open-area conventional high-temperature thermal heat detector designed for commercial, industrial, and institutional fire alarm installations. Part of the FireClass 700 Series range from Johnson Controls, the detector utilizes microprocessor-based thermal evaluation and advanced algorithms to deliver rapid alarm activation while maintaining exceptionally high immunity to false alarms. Classified as a high-temperature fixed static heat detector (90°C threshold), it is ideal for environments where elevated ambient temperatures, steam, dust, or heavy smoke prevent the use of optical smoke sensors—such as commercial kitchens, boiler rooms, canteens, and drying plants. It operates over a wide 10.5V to 33V DC voltage range, features built-in drift compensation, offers backward compatibility with 600 Series bases, and is certified to EN 54-5.
