The VID Firekill Low Pressure Water Mist System, developed by Danfoss Fire Safety (formerly VID Firekill), is an advanced fixed fire suppression solution that operates efficiently at low water pressures ranging from 6 to 16 bar. Unlike conventional high-pressure water mist systems, it uses standard piping materials such as stainless steel, copper, or CPVC, reducing installation costs and complexity. The system produces fine water mist droplets that rapidly cool flames, reduce radiant heat, and displace oxygen around the fire, providing effective suppression while significantly minimizing water damage. Suitable for commercial buildings, data centers, heritage sites, machinery spaces, commercial kitchens, and other specialized applications, the system offers reliable, environmentally friendly fire protection with compliance to international standards including FM, VdS, DNV, ABS, CEN/TS 14972, and NFPA 750.
